We woke up this morning with such high hopes - it was the first Husky home game! Always an exciting time in our house. The kids came with us to the game and then Mimi picked them up a little into the 2nd quarter so we could enjoy the rest of the game. Thank you Mimi!! I won't go on and on about what an AWFUL call the ref made to end the game instead of letting the players duke it out in overtime. Who knows, BYU may very well have won in OT but it would have been nice to see the effort. Instead, "the call" was made, the kick was blocked and the poor Huskies lost a heartbreaker.
Despite all this, the kids had a great time at the game. Ragen was actually interested in the players and the rules which was a kick for Jeremy. Maggie just liked the snacking at the tailgate. We successfully kept them out of the purple jello shots, thank goodness!
