Keeping it festive

I love all the different events that take place in the Greater Puget Sound area during Christmas. There are so many things to take the kids to that I am trying to fit in a couple each week. I hope they're not sick of yuletide cheer by the 25th!

Last weekend we got our tree up and decorated. Each day the kids pick out their favorite ornament of the day. Ragen tends to love anything with red on it and Mags just seems to like Elmo over & over again.

Yesterday Mimi & I took the kids downtown so we could check out the Gingerbread Village at the Sheraton and go on the holiday carousel at Westlake Center. We thought the kids would love the gingerbread houses since it was a superhero theme but Ragen was really disappointed that there were no real heroes walking around. At 4 and 2, they just weren't as impressed with the edible creations as my mom & I were. Then we walked over to the carousel and it was a big day for miss Maggie - she went on the "neigh" (horse) for the first time ever! She is normally terrified of the horses on the carousel and always opts for the "car" which is the bench seat. Once we got her up on her blue horse she was excitede and wanted to go again & again. (I apologize for the photo quality - somehow a setting got changed and things were messed up all day).
