This one time...at tennis camp

For Christmas, Jeremy got together with my friend Liz's husband and they gave us a trip to Palm Desert for a tennis camp being run by the Bellevue Club. It was such a fun 6 days away and while I missed the kiddos alot, I was definitely in need of some girl time. The camp was being hosted by both the Bellevue Club and the Seattle Tennis Club which gave me a chance to spend time with a pro from the STC and meet some people I can play with over there. It was held at Palm Valley which just happens to be where my in-laws place is. Liz and I arrived 2 days before the camp started and soaked up as much sun as we could and did some shopping. It was a good chance to get acclimated to the heat so that when camp started, we could handle the long hours in the blazing sun. Speaking of sun, we had the most amazing weather during our entire stay! I feel so fortunate to have gotten to spend so much time doing something I love doing and enjoying the sunshine at the same time. Jeremy managed the kids fabulously although I think his stress level was off the charts given the fact that he didn't fit in as much work time as expected. I can't wait to go back next year :)

Our luxury suite at the BNP Paribas Open. Federer's match ran late so we got to see most of it - such a treat. That's him in red behind us. I think he's winking at me :)

Andy Roddick's match was up next in the suite. Doesn't get much better!
We went back for another day at the tournament (with general admission tickets - not nearly as fab!). We saw some more greats and managed to soak up alot of sun. These yummy frozen margarita slushies were going down like water :)

Watching another match before we figured out that if we went to the other side, we'd be shaded.

During camp, we had the opportunity to go to PGA West and play on the grass and clay courts. A very fun experience!
